Xi'an, the grand old imperial capital of 13 dynasties, is once again filled with life. It has stayed nearly completely still and silent during the 3 years of the Covid-19 pandemic. The recovery of the economy is picking up pace and this is indicated by the incredibly active tourism industry and to some extent consumer confidence.
